Description: St James' Church, Tong Built as the estate church for the Tempest family of Tong Hall. The Church had box pews, including the squire's pew with fireplace. There is also a Jacobean Three decker pulpit. During archaeological excavations in the 1970s evidence of Saxon work was found.
