Dunigan, the four-story, Beaux-Arts style residence is designated as a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Previous occupants of 1735 19th Street, N.W., include: Simeon T. Price - former president of the Terminal Refrigerating and Warehousing Company; former director of the Washington Market Company Simeon T. Price, Jr. - golfer; bronze medalist at the 1904 Summer Olympics John R. Immer - former president of Work Saving International, a management consulting firm; former president of the Federation of Citizens Associations of the District of Columbia John Dowdy - former Democratic Representative from Georgia Richard Tafel - former executive director of the Log Cabin Republicans; author of Party Crasher: A Gay Republican Challenges Politics as Usual
