Description: St. Michael's Russian Catholic Church, at 266 Mulberry Street between Prince and Houston Streets in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1858-59 as the Chancery Office of St. Patrick's Cathedral next door at 260 Mulberry Street, and was designed in Gingerbread Gothic style by James Renwick, Jr. and William Rodrigue, who went on the design the new St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue and 50th Street. The building went on to become St. Michael's Chapel, and has been St. Michael's Russian Catholic Church since 1936. (Sources: Guide to NYC Landmarks (4th ed.) and From Abyssinian to Zion (2004))
