Description: One of a pair of sphinxes, circa 1700 by John Nost, flanking steps on the north east side of the terrace at Trent Park House, Trent Park, Enfield. They were brought to Trent Park from Stowe, Bucks in the mid 1920s by Sir Philip Sassoon.
