Description: Ranger's buttons, or swamp whiteheads, (Sphenosciadium capitellatum) flowerheads at 2,900 m (9,500 ft) on the ridge north of Minaret Summit. Shows both in bud and flower the typical carrot-family umbels, but with this species' unusually spherical individual flowerheads (the "buttons").
