Description: Discovery's first flight on the carrier was from Edwards AFB to Vandenberg AFB. While there the Air Force towed the two aircraft with a new tow tractor designed to move them into the Orbiter Lifting Facility (OLF) and to check clearance between the 747 wingtip and the hangar immediately adjacent to the OLF.
