Description: Soyuz TMA-05M Mission Patch Luc van den Abeelen: The Soyuz TMA-05M patch design depicts the spacecraft as it enters orbit, lit up by the rising sun. In design, colour and font, the patch is influenced by the Art Deco style. The vertical blue and black bands in the background refer to the similar design of the flag of the Russian Air Force. The three stars symbolize the three crew members. The design of the star is that of a monument on the grounds of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center just outside Moscow.
