Description: Honorable Catherine Gray, the U.S. Ambassador to Solomon Islands, lays a wreath at the U.S. Coast Guard Memorial Petty Officer 1st Class Douglas Munro at Point Cruz Yacht Club in Honiara, Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands, on Aug. 7, 2017. Munro was the sole member of the Coast Guard to receive the Medal of Honor. His actions helped save 500 beleaguered Marines pinned down by Japanese troops at Point Cruz, Sept. 27, 1942.
