Description: Sheepstown ruined church, Knocktopher, Co. Kilkenny. An early 12th century church with later additions and some interesting features. There is a simple round-headed doorway with Romanesque mounding in the west wall, while the 12th century south door was altered later. It is located on the Newmarket road from Knocktopher. As often the access is across a field from the road.
