Description: This Seaweed Mearing Stone is one of series of roughly dressed limestone pillars erected on the intertidal zone along the South Mallmhuir, Island Eddy. These stones marked the boundaries between the plots from which seaweed was harvested. Probably late 18th or early 19th century in date.
