Image: Seattle - Dexter Horton Bldg - 3rd Ave 01
Description: Third Avenue side of Dexter Horton Building, 710 Second Avenue, Seattle, Washington, USA. Built 1924; when it was built, it was the largest office building in the U.S. (Heather MacIntosh, Seattle's Canyon of Dreams: Preservation along Second Avenue, Preservation Seattle (online magazine of Historic Seattle), May 2003.) Not the only building of this name in Seattle (there is an older one in the Pioneer Square neighborhood). The Dexter Horton Bank was one of the banks that merged to form what became Seattle First National Bank (Seafirst), eventually absorbed into the Bank of America. The building is an official city landmark.
