Description: In 1807 a coat of arms was adopted. It was oval and showed eleven stars and a sun with a human face rising from the sea. The coat of arms was also placed on the new seal. This was oval and showed the arms surrounded by the legend: ETAT D’HAITY and two branches of olives.
