Description: Basil Gotto created six caribou statues to commemorate the Newfoundland Regiment's involvement in the First World War. One statue is in St. John's, NL and five are in European locations where the Newfoundland Regiment fought: Beaumont-Hamel, Monchy-le-Preux, Masnières, Gueudecourt, and Courtrai.
