Description: Ascent of the Lord. The samurai is visible, and his status is higher than that of a direct attendant hatamoto (?). The lacquer palanquin with Kuyo-crest (Hosokawa clan) is a wonderful detail. The manner in which the retainers and attendants behave is also decided perfectly. Apparently this is authentic. Circa late Edo period.
