Description: The grave of Captain Sampson Williams (1762–1841) at Fort Blount Ferry Cemetery in Jackson County, Tennessee, USA. Williams, the namesake of the village of Williamsburg which stood nearby, is considered the "father" of Jackson County. Special thanks to local resident Gene Smith for showing me this grave and adjacent sites.
