Description: An attempt at rangeland restoration gone horribly wrong in southwest Idaho. Because of the fine clay soils, salinity and lack of precipitation only Salsola tragus, a non native weed, was able to grow after this area was burned in a wildfire and reseeded with crested wheatgrass- another non native which provides minimal forage for livestock and practically no use for wildlife that failed.
