Description: Ruatuna is a Category 1 listed Heritage property located at 441 Tinopai Road, Matakohe in the Kaipara District. It was constructed in 1877 by Samuel Cooksey for Edward and Eleanor Coates. It is best known as being the birthplace of New Zealand's 21st prime minister Gordon Coates.
