The regiment, usually referred to as the 'Royal Scots Greys', distinguished itself by its famous cavalry charge at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The sculpture in the photograph is made by Ballantynes of Walkerburn, and is part of a series of Royal Scots Greys commemorative items
