Description: The former city hall of Rochester, New York. It served as Rochester's City Hall from 1875 until 1978. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the City Hall Historic District. The street running from foreground left to middle right is Broad Street, carrying New York State Route 31. At the time the city hall was built, what is now Broad Street was the Erie Canal.
