Description: River Misbourne: M25 Motorway culvert The original purpose of the viaduct in 334301 was to take the Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway over the valley of the River Misbourne. When the M25 Motorway was built, using the arches of the viaduct to pass under the railway, the river had to be culverted under the motorway. This is the downstream portal of the culvert with the railway viaduct visible over the trees in the background.
