Representation of the action off Mud Fort in the River Delaware, the enemy fleet consisting of frigates, fire ships, galleys &c., attacking His Majesty's ships Augusta, Roebuck, Pearl, Liverpool and Merlin 15th Nov 1777. In which the Augustus took fire by accident, and the Merlin was burnt to prevent her falling into the hands of the enemy. Published as the act directs by W. Elliott, 171 Park Street, 17th of Feb 1787. Ships noted L-R: HMS Pearl (1762); HMS Roebuck (1774); HMS Augusta (1763); HMS Merlin (1757); HMS Liverpool (1758).
