Description: Reed bed, formerly Blakemere Pool Blakemere Pool is shown on the 1940's OS map, but the reeds and sedges have gradually colonised it so that no open water is left. The Staffordshire Wildlife Trust manages it by cutting about a third of the reedbed every year, and cutting down any saplings growing in it. More information is given on a board at one side of the reedbed.
