Description: The Quebec Bridge collapsed on 11 September 1916 a second time due to poor design work and materials, killing thirteen workers. The bridge, which was conceived to be one of the most advanced in the world, had already collapsed under similar circumstances in 1907. In that tragedy, eighty-five workers perished prompting a Dominion Royal Commission to investigate the catastrophic failure.
