Description: The remains of the Roman Puente de Alconétar (Alconétar Bridge), Cáceres Province, Spain. The ancient segmental arch bridge originally crossed the Tajo river near the village of Garrovillas. In 1972, during the construction of the Alcántara reservoir, the structure was moved 6 km upstream to its current location.
