Description: Early 18th century map of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg (Latin: Principatus et Episcopatus Herbipolensis) by Johann Baptist Homann. The prince-bishops of Würzburg also bore the title of duke of the Duchy of Franconia (Latin: Ducatus franciae orientalis), which was largely honorific. The red-colored area at the center of the map shows the territory of the Free Imperial City of Sweinfurst. The other area in red is the County of Limpurg–Speckfeld.
