Description: This photo was taken from the Smithfield Street Bridge looking west about 1951. It shows the heavily industrialized Pittsburgh of the early 1950's and the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station prior to the construction of the Station Square complex. The Point Bridge II (demolished 1970 and replaced by the Fort Pitt Bridge) and the Duquesne incline are seen in the distance. Photo taken by John V. Mullen (1898-1966)
