Description: Looking across the top of Mound 10 into the field below at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park in Madison County, Tennessee, located in the Southeastern United States. Mound 10, which rises about 2 meters above the ground, was most likely a ceremonial platform mound. Excavators have located a central hearth near the mound's center.
