Description: The ritual of butchering a duck in the North is also known as "Killing Me Softly": the poor bird is defeathered alive, hit gently several times with a bamboo slat until blood oozes out of the skin, neck slit with a sharp knife for bloodletting, then quickly scorched with fire to burn out the remaining feathers. This one was made into kilawen and a pot of inlagim. Nikon D40 (UI 29th Founding Anniversary, November 2007).
