Description: The Pieta Chapel, (Part of the St. Donatus Historic District) built in 1885, crowning the bluff behind the St. Donatus Catholic church. The 14 brick alcoves of the Way of the Cross, behind the church, each containing an original print of Christ’s journey to crucifixion, culminates at the chapel. It is modeled after the Chapel du Bildchen in Vianden, Luxembourg. Inside the chapel is a replica of Michelangelo’s Pieta statue.
