Description: The Roach House was owned by Bill Roach. It was built in 1929 and is located at 8276 W. Madison St.. Roach was a janitor at the Peoria Elementary School and the "water man" for the City. As a waterman, Mr. Roach was responsible for seeing that the town’s water meters were properly maintained. Listed as historic by the Peoria Historic Preservation:Old Town Peoria 83rd Ave. & Madison St. Residential Area
