Description: A hand-tinted postcard image of the Temple Beth Israel in Portland, Oregon, from the 1910s. This building, constructed in 1888–89, was a landmark in Portland until it was destroyed in a fire in 1923. The current building of the same name was completed in 1928 to replace this 1889 structure.
