Description: Parc y Meirw megalithic alignment. The picture shows the remaining 4 upright stones (one broken-off forms a gatepost). There is a horizontal one at the foot of the telegraph pole and further down the road an enormous recumbent stone can be seen buried in the bank. It is not clear how many more there originally were before they became part of the field boundary. There are good sightlines to Garn Fawr on Mynydd Dinas, Garn Fawr west of Strumble Head and even, it is said, to the Wicklows in Ireland. The name means Field of the Dead and there are a number of legends associated with this impressive site.
