Description: Unusual fruit of Pandanus simplex locally known as karagumoy. The leaves are used as materials for weaving native hats, bags and mats in the Philippines especially in the Bicol Peninsula as documented by the Philippine Craftsman (1913). It is the main material for the Bulusan kalo (hat) and the common bay-ong. (Bulusan, Sorsogon, Philippines)
