Description: Designed by Allan C. Drennan who created it in 1952 when it won a first prize at Kelso Highland Show as the Paisley district tartan. The designer worked for Anchor Mills in Paisley. It has since also come to be regarded as a family tartan for those of the name Paisley. D.C. Dalgliesh also exhibits this sett as 'Drennan'. See also Duke of Edinburgh - which he designed in 1955.
