Description: The worlds largest PV sound barrier with a capacity of 500 kWp was installed at Freising in Germany, next to the Munich airport and is operational since September 2003. 338 kWp of the installed PV capacity was realized with ceramic based PV modules manufactured by ISOFOTON in a pilot production. The project was co-funded by the EC DG-TREN in the framework of the “PV Soundless” project.
