On 2018, Pakistan's national animal Markhor was chosen to be introduced as the brand identity on aircraft tail, showing airline commitment for preserving the species. This tail was based on a jumping ibex having long screw horns, which relatively embedded into the new logo. Company slogan changed to "We Fly at the Right Attitude". PIA acronym is written in a Russian font named "Arkhip Bold" and company slogan in "Exo Semi-Bold" font. For the first time, legacy PIA colors (Pakstan green & mustard gold) dropped and blue texture added in "PIA" acronym. Urdu PIA logo color also changed with yellow-green texture. This rebranding attempt failed due to the highly negative reaction by the public as the national flag on the tail was replaced with an animal logo. Supreme Court of Pakistan taken sue motu action and bar PIA to use ibex logo as brand identity.
