Description: FOUNDED IN 1910 BY JANE BOWNE HAINES. THE WOMAN’S NATIONAL FARM AND GARDEN ASSOCIATION ORIGINATED HERE. IN 1958 PSHAW MERGED WITH TEMPLE UNIVERSITY AND THE AREA BECAME THE AMBLER CAMPUS OF TEMPLE. HAINES HOUSE IS THE OLDEST HOUSE ON THE CAMPUS AND DATES FROM THE 1700’S. THIS BUILDING WAS USED AS THE FIRST DORMITORY IN 1911
