Description: Ostriches at Whitford Park, ca 1900. In June 1887 Laurence and David Nathan imported ostriches to their 3000-acre Whitford Park Estate at Turanga Creek. The flock was moved to Helvetia, near Paerata, in 1903. Auckland Libraries Heritage Collections Footprints 00883
