Description: John McCracken was a mason architect of churches and bridges. He designed St Andrew's RC Church Dumfries (later to become the cathedral of Galloway Diocese).Built old Ramhill Bridge 1798. New bridge, built in 1972 by M.J. Williamson Kirkcudbrightshire County Surveyor, which carries the A75 over the River Urr.
