Description: Picture of an old bottle of the Duquesne Brewing Company's Duquesne Pilsener Beer that was on display at the Fort Pitt Blockhouse museum on April 10, 2010. Though the trademark of the brand is supposed to depict Fort Duquesne, it actually features a depiction of the Blockhouse that was part of Fort Pitt. Underneath the depiction is the incorrect description, "Fort Duquesne". I know this photograph isn't very clear, it was taken through a glass display case inside the slightly dark interior of the blockhouse, but a slightly clearer view of the logo can be seen here. This bottle most likely dates back to sometime between 1890 and 1911, because Pittsburgh is spelled "Pittsburg" on the label, and the city was only officially spelled that way between those years.[1]
