Description: This sashi netsuke is of the subtype called obihasami, or obi-clip, which hooks around both edges of the obi for added security. Made of stag antler, it depicts an abstract animal face, and is 4.7" (118mm) long. This type of carving is also called Kokusai-bori, but this netsuke should not be confused with those actually carved by Kokusai, which are far superior.
