Description: An abandoned grain elevator alongside an abandoned railway on the south side of O'Donnell, Texas of Lynn County. A branch of the Pecos & Northern Texas Railway was constructed from Slaton to Lamesa in 1910. The railway passed through O'Donnell providing rail service for the agricultural industry. The rails were abandoned and completely removed in 1999 and now the towering grain elevator provides an excellent high perch for birds, such as this hawk seen soaring above the structure.
