Description: June 26th, 2022 11:00AM High of 87 degrees Fahrenheit Low of 61 degrees Fahrenheit 72 degrees Fahrenheit at capture On a day with spotty rain showers, this and many other watersnakes were observed foraging along the shores of a shallow slough along the Mississippi River. Toadlets and tadpoles were everywhere, making for easy meals for the snakes and other animals. This snake was flighty upon capture but soon calmed down, and hid in the detritus after I released it. St. Louis County, Missouri
