Description: A large portion of Lubbock's treated sewage is pumped into the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River at this point called Outfall 001 — in Lubbock County, West Texas. The City of Lubbock is permitted to discharge as much as 9 million gallons of treated effluent into the North Fork each day. The Double Mountain Fork is a tributary of the Brazos River, in the Llano Estacado region.
