Description: The historic Nike Missile Site HM-69 — the Nike Hercules Missile Site, called Alpha Battery or HM-69, as it stands in 2013. Located within Everglades National Park, in Miami-Dade County, southern Florida. This relic of the U.S. during the Cold War was closed in 1979, and is on the National Register of Historic Places in Everglades National Park.
