Description: Flying Officer H. J. G. Haeusler of the Royal New Zealand Air Force died aged 24 on 9 November 1942 when his aircraft crashed between Tvøroyri and Hvalba on Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. The Faroes had been occupied by British forces since 1940 after Denmark had been invaded by Germany. His grave is near Airport Vágar.
