Image: Neferhotep I 3
Description: Relief of Neferhotep I Khaskhemre on Sehel Island. To the right of the picture, we can see first, a graffiti showing the king Senusert III against the goddess Anuket, the patron deity of this region of the first cataract. On the left, an exact copy of that same engraving, made during the reign Khasekhemre 'Neferhotep I. Clearly, with the latter graffiti, King Neferhotep I wanted to associate with the memory of his illustrious ancestor of the Twelfth Dynasty.
