Description: Monument to John Sheffield, Duke of Buckingham (1647-1721) and family in the north-east chapel of Henry VII's chapel of Westminster Abbey. Erected 1722 to a design by Denis Plumiere, sculptures by Laurent Delvaux & Peter Scheemakers, the monument has a figure of Buckingham in Roman armour lying on a sarcophagus beside a figure of Catherine, has wife with a figure of Time holding portrait medallions of their children above them. The family are buried in a vault within the chapel.
