Description: The Mobile city skyline taken from Fort Conde. Actually, it's a 4/5 size reconstruction of only 1/3 of the original fort, built in 1976. The actual fort was torn down and sold off. Mobile was founded in 1702 (me thinks) and construction on the fort began in 1707(?). I have a hard time remembering dates. Much like Mobile, the fort had been under the control of several nations: France, Spain, England, and the US. The skyline looks impressive, but those are the only tall buildings in the city. It really isn't that big of a city. The bay is to the right.
