Description: 105 sherds of Middle Saxon Ipswich ware pottery including twelve basal and twenty-one jar rim, in the full "spectrum" of fabrics of fine sandy to coarse gritty / pimply (Blinkhorn 2012, 9). Just below the top of one rim sherd there is a pre-firing round hole. Weight 2.129kg. c.720 - c.850 AD. On previous occasions since July 2009, 827 sherds of Ipswich ware (weight 13.492kg) found by a householder while gardening in a vegetable patch have been recorded.
